Accountant Job in Kelowna, British Columbia

We are looking for an experienced senior accountant to join our award winning company. Responsibilities: • Set up and maintain project costs controls in accordance to contracts and agreements • Review accounting processes of new and ongoing projects and reconciliations of expenses • Prepare accurate and relevant cost reports for projects and employees • Assists with process review and improvements • Invoicing, accounts receivable management and reporting • Revenue projections • Contract management • Understand and support all aspects of the operations in the accounting department including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow statements, government reporting and the preparation of financial statements Requirements: • Senior level of Professional Accounting Designation program (CGA/CMA/CA/CPA) or recently completed • Minimum of 5 years progressive, relevant work experience within a complex and dynamic organization, ideally in the engineering/construction industry • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of people • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports • Solid knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to identify issues and interpret and apply accounting policies • High standard of performance, ability to deal with ambiguity and complexities • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a high proficiency in Excel • Proficiency with a large ERP system an asset Please submit your Resume & Cover Letter in confidence to: [email protected]
