Accountant Job in Avoca, Iowa

Full-time opportunity with a growing consulting business providing accounting and software services to local governments. Our customers are small local governments who depend on us for accounting and operations support and for accounting and financial management software. We are looking for a professional individual to add to our customer support team. In this position, you will perform on-site accounting and business services, installation and training of the software, and software technical support. When not traveling to customer sites, will work in-house providing technical support. Qualifications: - Education should include a two-year degree with accounting course work and office experience. Should have knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping and accounting procedures. Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus. - Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and accounting software, such as QuickBooks, strongly preferred. - Good oral and written communication skills. Professional appearance and a positive attitude. Attention to detail.
