Responsible for the following in a manufacturing environment: *Daily monitoring and investigation of work in process manufacturing variances and finished goods output in order to measure plant's overall efficiency against pre-established targets set by upper management. *Monitoring and reconciliation of raw materials, finished goods, WIP and inventory reserve accounts to ensure inventory balances per the Balance Sheet are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP. *Capability to prioritize and plan efficiently and effectively. *Flexibility within a diverse organization is a must, self motivated, self directed. *Ability to direct work flow, manage others and be an effective decision maker *Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures *Attention to detail *Ability to develop processes *Establishes and maintains system to locate inventory easily *Monitors and maintains inventory within assigned area by reviewing reports, requesting replenishment as required *Coordinates and communicates with other shifts to maintain inventory accuracy *Uses system reports to monitor and work with purchasing/planning to resolve potential stock-outs *Receives purchased product and conducts necessary system transactions *Conducts cycle counts, reconciles inventory records and determines cause of errors. Recommends corrective actions or procedures *Reviews reports for inactive product and depletes, prepositions, or dispositions of inventory *Works with purchasing and production coordinator to maintain required levels of inventory *Advanced computer skills
