Accountant Job in Laguna Hills, California

Real Estate Development Company located in Laguna Hills with offices in Eagle Rock is seeking a Controller with the following qualifications:  EXTENSIVE experience preparing Financial Statements.  Intermediate knowledge of the Tax Code.  Excellent knowledge of YARDI is a must.  Energetic, take-charge person with excellent communication skills.  Post all month-end journal entries and closing.  Produce month-end management reports.  Preparation of budgets.  Cash flow analysis. Complete local and state tax filings. Payroll management.  Advanced level Microsoft EXCEL a must.  Required Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in accounting or finance.  Minimum of FIVE years experience within the Real Estate Development / Residential / Property Management field. Candidate should also meet some or all of these qualifications:  Ability to review, analyze and prepare adjusting journal entries to the general ledger a plus.  Must live within 20 minutes or less from Laguna Hills.  Preference given to local experience. Candidate must have:  Must provide evidence of past employment.  Must pass post-offer medical exam and fingerprint/abuse index clearance.  Ability to travel locally, proof of CA drivers license, driving record, insurance and registration may be required.  Ability to demonstrate good judgment and exercise discretion and confidentiality pertaining to the work environment.
