If you’re new to being a grant recipient and need expert help in how to financially manage your budget (or prepare a draft for your application,) draw down your funds, and submit your reports, you’ve come to the right place. I can help you with all of the above as well as be sure you are in compliance with the grant special conditions and approved scope of work, federal or state financial rules and regulations, as well as the same for procurement. My expertise has been gained by working for an organization that is widely recognized as having best practices in financial and programmatic administration of federal and state funds. I am willing to help you in whatever capacity you may need whether it’s to answer a few questions to clarify something for you or to come to your office to review your grant award documents and help you set up your books to financially manage it accurately. I am also offering to financially manage it as long as the required time spent is less than 10 hours a week. Additionally, I am offering my services as a volunteer to a qualified NFP organization in return for supervisory experience. Following is a brief summary of my grant accounting experience: * Eleven years with federal, state inter-agency, and private grants. * Budget monitoring and journal adjustments * Financial reporting, and draw downs * Balance sheet reconciliations * Compliance with federal and state procurement rules and procedures as well as current federal Uniform Grant Guidance. * Financial monitoring of sub grants * Procurement contracts and encumbrances, procurement cards, travel reimbursements, * Preparation for and response to desk audits, monitoring visits, and A-133 financial audits. Prior to grant accounting, my experience includes six years as an accounting technician for state government, to include procurement card reallocation and reconciliations, and accounts payable and receivable. Early career experience is multi-faceted in various positions including construction accounting. My education is a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting and Finance. Please feel free to request my resume and any other information that you would like that may not be listed here.
