Accountant in Decatur, Georgia

am a detail oriented senior level Accountant with over 15 years of general ledger accounting experience. My strengths are expense analytics (MoM, AvB), income statement prep, balance sheet recs, fixed asset maintenance, budget planning & prep and income tax preparation and planning. I have very strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively train staff and coach peers. I am currently seeking opportunities to work under a licensed CPA. In the spring, I will be pursuing my CPA license while completing coursework for a Master's degree in Taxation. My immediate goal is to work primarily as a Tax Accountant under a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent where I will perform tax related tasks for individuals, small businesses and/or corporations. My secondary goal is to provide general bookkeeping, accounting and financial reporting services to small businesses, professional services firms and non-profit organizations
