Charlotte, NC 127K to 182K annually Seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Financial Oversight Monitoring and Controls team to contribute to the Company's efforts in developing and maintaining governance processes related to certain regulatory reports filed by the Company. Corporate Financial Governance seeks to ensure that appropriate financial reporting governance structures are established and maintained across the enterprise. The team has enterprise-wide exposure to lines of business and the external financial reporting infrastructure. This individual will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the governance processes related regulatory reporting. Specific responsibilities / duties to include: Maintaining existing regulatory reporting governance guidance and developing new guidance as needed Establishing and maintaining processes to monitor compliance with regulatory reporting governance guidance Partnering with others such as Corporate Accounting Policy, SEC Reporting, and Regulatory Reporting areas to understand and evaluate errors under applicable quantitative/qualitative guidance and establishing guidelines around the evaluation process as needed Monitoring and reviewing regulatory reporting and disclosure data and metrics from various sources including control testing results, Quality Assurance, audit and regulatory reports and assessing individually and in aggregate to assess broader impact to Company Administering and preparing materials for senior level oversight committees to assist those committees in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities Serving as a consultant to Lines of Business, report owners, and other interested parties Participating in other related Corporate Controllers projects as needed The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and a self-starter who is accustomed to working in complex organizations, partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders, and achieving results. Additionally, the candidate should possess good professional presence and be accustomed to presenting material to senior executives. The candidate should be flexible, be able to withstand challenges and adapt accordingly. Basic Qualifications Total 5-10 Years of Experience as follows: 7 years in accounting or consulting and 3 years of management experience Minimum Qualifications Experience with bank regulatory reporting requirements, including working knowledge of the FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031/041, and FFIEC 101 Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents at all levels of the organization Strong organization and prioritization skills Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy Preferred Skills Big 4 experience Experience with large financial institutions BA/BS in accounting If you meet these career requirements and are interested in applying, contact Robin Akin, North Star Staffing Solutions, by email or text.
