Resume of Interest in the position as an entrepreneur hands-on Controller/Accountant with extensive HR/Payroll and Technical Experience, with 20 years exp. I am willing to relocate. To whom it may concern; Responsible for entire accounting/financials, internal controls, reporting, GAAP, P&L and analysis functions. Develop and implement short and long term business plan/operating strategies including cost benefit analysis; determine ROI. Provide analysis of budgets strategic planning and forecast as well as financial trends and profitability analysis. Manage banking relationships as well as cash management/treasury functions. Participate in process improvements. Manage inventory costs and valuations. Interface with owner(s), investors and directors. Primary Responsibilities • Prepares timely and meaningful reports that summarize and forecast the companies’ business activities • Prepare job work-in-progress and costing schedules • Reconcile General Ledger/JE Adjustments. Extensive experience with audits • Knowledgeable with Union/Certified/Multi State Payroll, Payroll Taxes and Payroll Tax Returns • Plans, directs, and oversees year-end close process and work closely with CPA’s • Monitor and maintain banking (Credit Line-Borrowing Base Certificates) covenants • Leadership of strategic financial initiatives for improving performance • Experience managing a multistate organization/companies with multiple sub-companies • Responsible for sales and use tax multi-state • Preparation of quarterly tax projections and annual tax returns • Excellent oral and written communication • Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results • Ability to bridge the gap between operations and finance; ability to guide operational team with strategic planning and execution through measurable data and accountability • Work closely with CPA’s, bankers, attorneys and other outside consultants, work with investors/returns • Extreme attention to detail and able to self-start, experience with lean/six-sigma procedures • Part of the leadership team to establish the vision for projects and change initiatives • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies. • Attended council and other related meetings; as the spokesperson for the company, developed reports, PowerPoint presentations, took ownership in the meetings, followed through with minutes. • Deep background in MIS and knowledge of SQL Proficient in a wide range of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, accounting-QuickBooks Pro/Enterprise, Dexter & Chaney, Timberline-Sage 300/Master Builder-Sage 100, Yardi, Toolbox, Great Plains, Peachtree-Sage 50, Mas/90/200/ERP 500-Sage 500, SAP-8, MS/Oracle SQL/ADP Experience.
